Despite my love for communication and my gregarious personality, I often find myself hiding certain facts about myself. Although many people think they know who I am, there is more to me than people realize. Throughout my upcoming blog posts, I want to share my experiences with others. I truly believe every situation is either a blessing or a lesson. I want these posts to express my thoughts and opinions that I typically suppress.
Additionally, writing has been a form of release, an escape for me. When my mind is constantly battling with itself, I find that writing things down is the easiest way to create a sense of calmness. I can express my thoughts on a screen or page in front of me. A sense of peace and silence comes after closing my laptop or capping my pen.
As the craziness of this world seems to consume this generation, I hope there is one thing you can learn from today. Write. You don’t have to show anyone. You don’t have to let the world see that hidden, dark side of you. You just have to have enough courage to write it down, so that you are not consumed by your own secrets.
“A person is a fool to become a writer. His only compensation is absolute freedom. He has no master except his own soul, and that, I am sure is why he does it.” -Roald Dahl

I completely get what you mean. If you’re too afraid to speak your thoughts, write them down. It’s better than keeping them bottled up inside of you. It gives you a sense of release. The best part is no one really has to know, especially when you know you’re not ready for them to.

I loved reading this and I can totally relate. For me, writing is the easiest escape for me. Which explains why my major has to do with writing and how my love for writing came about. Great post and picture!
